Participation in this challenge is entirely FREE OF COST, and each participant may submit up to five entries for consideration. All submissions will be evaluated and the winner will be selected based on artistic merit, originality, and overall presentation.
We look forward to receiving your inspiring creations and to celebrating the art of mandalas together through this international platform.
Event Theme:
Theme 1: The 7 Chakra Mandala
Embark on a vibrant, meditative journey through the seven chakras with the Seven Chakra Mandala theme. This concept invites participants to explore the subtle energy centers of the body using symbolic patterns, harmonious symmetry, and intentional color choices. Each chakra, from root to crown, can be represented through distinct hues and motifs that reflect grounding, creativity, power, love, communication, intuition, and spiritual connection.
Through this theme, artists are encouraged to translate inner balance and healing into visual form, allowing their mandalas to become a tool for reflection, alignment, and mindfulness. The use of a full chakra color palette creates a visually striking composition while also conveying deeper emotional and spiritual meanings. By integrating traditional chakra symbolism with personal artistic style, participants can create mandalas that are both aesthetically captivating and energetically meaningful.
This theme is ideal for artists who wish to combine spirituality with creativity and present artwork that resonates with holistic well-being. It offers freedom to experiment with geometry, layers, and detailing, while staying rooted in the concept of energetic harmony. The Seven Chakra Mandala thus becomes more than a design—it becomes a colorful journey of self-awareness, inner peace, and transformation.
Theme 2: Indian Folk Art Mandala
Indian Folk Art Mandala combines rich cultural heritage with the intricate geometric beauty of mandalas, creating a unique artistic expression that celebrates tradition and harmony. Rooted in various regional folk arts of India, such as Madhubani, Warli, and Rajasthani styles, this theme blends vibrant colors, symbolic motifs, and balanced patterns that reflect the rhythm of rural life and spiritual beliefs.
These mandalas often feature repetitive designs inspired by nature, mythology, and everyday life, forming a meditative visual language that connects the artist and viewer to Indian culture’s deep symbolism. The fusion of folk art’s storytelling and mandala’s spiritual geometry offers an engaging way to explore cultural diversity, artistic craftsmanship, and the timeless beauty of Indian traditions, inspiring participants to create memorable, culturally rich artworks.
Theme 3: Elements of Life
The Elements of Life theme celebrates the fundamental forces that sustain and shape our existence—earth, water, fire, air, and space. Each element represents a unique energy and symbolism: earth grounds us with stability and nurturing; water flows, cleansing and adapting; fire ignites passion and transformation; air moves freely, symbolizing intellect and breath; and space unites all, representing infinite potential and connection.
In mandala art, these elements are illustrated through harmonious geometric patterns and motifs that reflect nature’s balance and life’s cyclical rhythms. They invite artists to explore the dynamic interplay of natural forces within themselves and the universe. By visually embodying these elements, participants create mandalas that symbolize growth, change, energy, freedom, and spiritual unity. This theme offers a vibrant canvas for expressing the profound interconnectedness of life and the cosmos through sacred geometry and creative meditation.
